- lighting: Sansevieria grows under bright indirect light. It can tolerate low light conditions, but don’t keep it without bright light for a long time.
- watering: water the plant regularly, but with small amount of water. Reduce watering during the cold season. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Use soft, settled water of room temperature.
- fertilizing: feed the plant with a balanced, all-purpose liquid fertilizer once a month during the vegetation period. Do not fertilize in the fall and winter.
- humidity: Sansevieria can grow with usual home humidity, no need to create extra air humidity for the plant. It can handle lower humidity levels without significant issues.
- temperature: as for temperature range, the plant is not demanding. It feels comfortable with the temperature between 61 and 68°F during the night and between 70 and 82°F in daytime. If the plant grows under low temperature conditions for a long time, it is necessary to reduce watering.
- repotting: repot every 2-3 years, or when the plant outgrows its pot. Choose a pot that is 1-2 inches larger in diameter than the current pot. Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or succulent mix.
