- lighting: Prayer Plant prefers bright, indirect light, otherwise its foliage can lose its spectacular color. Place the plant near a north or east-facing window.
- watering: during the spring and summer period the watering should be copious, while make sure that the soil is not too moist in winter. Use soft and warm water (a little higher that room temperature).
- fertilizing: feed once in 2-4 weeks during growing period. The fertilizing should be of organic as well as of mineral type. Reduce feeding during cold season.
- humidity: as a tropical plant, Prayer Plant requires high level of humidity, which is 60% or higher. In order to enhance the humidity level, mist the plant regularly, use a humidifier, or place the plant on a pebble tray filled with water.
- temperature: in summer the plant can grow with the temperature not higher than 77°F, in winter it should be not less than 65°F. Keep the plant away from cold drafts, air conditioners, and sudden temperature changes.
- repotting: Prayer Plant prefers to be repotted once in two years or when it becomes root -bound. Use a well-draining potting mix that retains some moisture. The best time to repot is during the spring.
