  • lighting: it requires a lot of bright light, but no direct sunlight. Pothos can tolerate low light conditions but may grow slower and produce smaller leaves with less variegation.
  • watering: water thoroughly until it drains out of the bottom of the pot. Let the soil dry out between waterings. Ensure the pot has good drainage. Use soft, settled water of room temperature.
  • fertilizing: feed Pothos plants from April to September once in 2-4 weeks with liquid mineral fertilizer for vine plants. In cold season the plant needs to be fed as well, but less often.
  • humidity: Pothos plants prefer moderate to high level of humidity, the comfortable one is 60%. It appreciates regular spraying with room temperature water, when the microclimate is too hot for it.
  • temperature: during the hot season ideal range of temperature is between 64 and 75°F, in winter it should be a bit cooler, but not less than 61°F. Keep the plant away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioners. They do not tolerate temperatures below 50°F.
  • repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining potting mix.

A mix designed for houseplants or one with peat moss, perlite, and pine bark works well.
